Coconut sugar or Javanese sugar craftsmen are a fairly well-known home industry in Banyumas, Central Java, Indonesia, which has been carried out for generations. However, it is not easy to make this sugar because it requires a long process of processing this type of sugar which is quite tiring.

Becoming a coconut tapper also requires special skills, in addition to being able to climb trees that are around 15-30 meters high without any protection, the tapper must also understand the characteristics of the coconut tree, so that they can choose coconut flowers that contain a lot of sap. On average, they have to tap 30-40 coconut trees, so in a day they have to climb around 60-80 times.
